(June 1, 2021) Chief Mark LaMont said, “Without a doubt, this grant will be a life saving addition to our available tools as we serve the community.” His department will be receiving $3,450 to purchase two new Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in service on their Rescue Squad and Water Tender. He went on to say that studies have repeatedly shown that AEDs save lives in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. These two AEDs will be available to rapidly provide life-saving defibrillation to both civilian and emergency responders in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. Congratulations to the Idyllwild Department on their grant.
